"We may slow down a bit...but we will never stop working - we are having too much fun." Now in their seventies the Cravens have moved back to the country in rural south western Virginia in the New River Valley.

The New Studio

They have purchased a century old farm house and have built the studio of their dreams with just the equipment and space they need. With its own rushing stream, pond and a big veranda the Cravens love to greet visitors and show off their latest creations. Just remember to call ahead since Ian and Jo Lydia no longer keep regular business hours but, if they are home they would love to see you and your guests.

Remote, yes, but easy to get to. They are near Independence, Virginia just off US58 "The Crooked Road" - Virginia's music trail - about 25 miles north of West Jefferson, North Carolina. From West Jefferson, NC take US221 north....turn left on Hwy 16 and follow it 18 miles north to US58 in mouth of Wilson, VA........turn right at the T junction and drive four miles .......turn left on Fox Creek Road (Route 711)......go one and a half miles to Little Fox Creek Road (Route 680) where you turn right....follow this dirt road for half a mile and turn Right Foxfire Lane......go 400 yards along the creek to the house and studio......please note that cell phones do not work in our area.
